We LOVE hearing story about rescue dogs. Six of us are rescues and found our way to what we call The Yorkie Crested Cavalier Castle. We started out being the Yorkie Manor, but then Mom found Max & Paris so we had to change our name.

We love rescue groups and we hope for the day when they will not be needed. Our motto is saving one dog at a time...until there are none.

People who dump dogs. We are not disposable!

There are so many of us, so we will try to be brief.

Bailey is a 4 yr old Yorkie, big for the breed and a total sports hound. Give him a football to destroy and he is in heaven.

Bella, aka Devil Dog, is a 3 yr old Yorkie and the imp of the group. If there is trouble to be gotten into, she can find it. Any bag that comes into the house belongs to her as she figures whatever is in it is hers.

Bree Ann is our senior Yorkie at 10 yrs old. She was rescued from a puppymill when she was 8.5 years old. She loves just laying in the sun and is a real little lap dog.

Zoey is the princess, not sure how old she is, around 5 our vet says, and she came from a puppymill is Missouri along with Zack. Blonde yorkie who is a total Momma's girl and will not relate to anyone else. She escaped from the vets and was in the woods for three days and nights and survived. We thank God for that everyday cause Mom was besides herself. She can be testy but we figure that is what made her survive her ordeal.

Zack is a 4 lb yorkie from a puppymill also. He is afraid of everything but Mom and he now figures it is his purpose in life to protect Mom from anyone and everything. You should hear him, he must think he is a Rotweiller he carries on so much about it. He was terribly abused and still has trust issues and he cannot even take a treat from Mom. Its kind of funny to see, the adults have to throw him a treat cause he just can't let himself take it from a hand. Mom says that is because he was probably abused with a hand and he just can't get over his fear.

Dutch is the other senior Yorkie who is going blind and he is a grouchy old man. He came here to foster but no one wanted a senior yorkie with issues so he got adopted here too.

Max is a 2 year old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel who was offered on the internet by anyone who wanted to pay his adoption fee, no questions asked. Mom couldn't stand that so he came here too. He had two bad legs but Mom took him to the vet and he got both his legs fixed and now he runs all around the back yard.

Paris was the last addition to our family and she was a rescue also. She is a three year old Powderpull Chinese Crested. She was abused and they got rid of her because she was scared of them and would have potty accidents. She is the Diva here, loves her clothes and having her hair done. Mom says she came to the right place because she is now Mom's top model. Paris has come a long way and now it is a joy to watch her go and run in the back yard, enjoying every day of her freedom.
